Looking Back, Moving Forward: 5 Years of Partnership, Process, and Projects
/This month marks the end of my fifth year as the owner of Savannah Window Fashions, and while the company has proudly been serving Savannah, Bluffton, and the Low Country for over 30 years, this particular milestone feels meaningful in a new way.
When I stepped into this role, I knew I was joining a legacy built on craftsmanship, care, and a commitment to excellence in all things custom window treatments. What I didn’t fully anticipate was how much our team would grow—not just in size, but in our approach, our services, and our ability to support the designers and homeowners we work with every day.
Gratitude for the Community That Fuels Us
Running a full-service window treatment workroom means we don’t do this work alone. Every project is a collaboration—between us, our interior designer partners, our homeowners, our installers, our vendors, and often a few electricians and contractors along the way.
We’re incredibly thankful for our designer trade partners who trust us to support their vision and represent their brand with care. To the builders and architects who loop us in early to ensure motorization and hardware needs are handled properly—thank you. And to our network of fabric vendors, hardware reps, and fellow small business owners here in Savannah and Bluffton, we appreciate the shared wisdom and support.
Most of all, we’re grateful for our clients—those of you who have invited us into your homes, trusted our guidance, and allowed us to help create spaces that are both beautiful and functional.
Growth Through Change—and the Constant of Excellence
This past year brought continued growth for our business. We’ve expanded our virtual design capabilities, streamlined our internal processes, and taken on larger and more complex projects, including whole-home renovations, full-scale new builds, and historic home restorations across the Low Country.
The custom window treatment industry continues to evolve—from fluctuating lead times to changes in product availability, and increasing demand for motorization and energy-efficient materials. Our team has adapted at every turn, with a strong focus on project management, clear communication, and always doing what’s best for the client and the space.
One thing that hasn’t changed—and won’t—is our commitment to delivering high-quality work and providing a seamless, full-service experience for every project we’re part of. Whether we’re designing and fabricating custom drapery for a waterfront home in Bluffton, or managing a full suite of window treatments for a renovation in Historic Savannah, the level of service and care remains the same.
Looking Ahead to the New Year
We’re heading into the new year with a full schedule and a full heart. Our calendar already includes several exciting whole-home projects, new construction collaborations, and historic renovations across Savannah, Palmetto Bluff, and beyond. We’re excited to bring thoughtful, functional solutions to each space.
We’ll continue to prioritize our relationships with interior designers, builders, and homeowners who value expertise, communication, and quality. And as always, we’ll keep doing what we do best—handling every detail of custom window treatments from start to finish, so our clients and trade partners don’t have to worry about the measuring, sourcing, fabrication, or installation.
Thank you again for an incredible year—and here’s to the next.
