Celebrating 5 Years of Ownership at Savannah Window Fashions

This June marks five years since I stepped into the role of owner and lead designer at Savannah Window Fashions. While the company has proudly served Savannah and the surrounding Lowcountry for over 30 years, my chapter began in 2020—right in the midst of a global pandemic.

It wasn’t exactly the most predictable time to purchase a business. But when the opportunity came to take the reins from longtime owner Jeanne—who had become both a mentor and dear friend—I knew it was the right step. I took a leap to preserve a legacy and build upon it with new vision and intention.

From Corporate Strategy to Creative Roots

Before Savannah Window Fashions, my background was in advertising and corporate leadership. I spent years immersed in strategy and structure, but I had always been drawn to the beauty of architecture, the nuances of historic homes, and the craftsmanship of well-made things. That creative pull—rooted in generations of family members involved in building and design—never left me.

After moving to Savannah and falling in love with the historic charm and architectural detail of the city, I met Jeanne. Our connection was instant. She had poured decades of expertise into building Savannah Window Fashions into a trusted name, and I saw the potential to not only continue what she started but take it to the next level.

Building the Foundation for Growth

From day one, my goal was clear: honor the craftsmanship and reputation of the business while introducing systems and processes that would support our future. I knew that modern tools and clear communication could elevate what we were already doing so well.

Over the past five years, we’ve implemented a digital project management system that allows us to manage every project detail with precision. Our clients can feel confident knowing we’re tracking timelines, materials, and installations every step of the way.

We’ve refined our process to be as seamless and stress-free as possible—from discovery call to installation. Whether it’s selecting the right lining for a Roman shade or determining hardware placement in a challenging space, we manage all the details so our clients don’t have to.
